Koezu Terms of Use

Version 2026-11-08-draft-2

Draft for legal review. These terms are a working draft until reviewed by a lawyer.

Koezu is software made and provided by NISAR Sajid, sole proprietor (“we”). Koezu is independent of Kyoto University of Advanced Science and the NISAR Laboratory. By using Koezu you agree to these terms.

1. Your content

Your decks, recordings and other content are yours. You give us only the permission needed to store and transmit them for you when you use sharing. You are responsible for having the rights to what you put in Koezu, including other people’s voices, images and words.

2. Koezu is licensed, not sold

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Koezu while your account is active. Koezu, its code, design and documentation remain ours, and all rights not expressly granted are reserved.

3. What you may not do

Except as expressly permitted by applicable law that cannot be excluded by agreement, you may not: copy, modify, or create derivative works of Koezu or its code; decompile, disassemble, deobfuscate or otherwise reverse engineer it, or attempt to obtain its source code; extract, scrape or download its code or assets by automated means; remove or alter any copyright or other notice; use Koezu or any part of it to build a competing product or service; share your account or invitation, or give others access to the editor; circumvent any security or access control.

4. Voices and AI

Only clone or dub a person’s voice with that person’s agreement. AI features are provided with your own API keys and are subject to those providers’ terms; check AI output before relying on it.

5. Availability and changes

Koezu is provided “as is”, by invitation, and may change or stop. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. We may update these terms; you will be asked to agree again before continuing.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or loss of data; keep your own copies of important work. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Kyoto District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance, except where the law gives exclusive jurisdiction to another court (for example the Tokyo or Osaka District Court for program copyrights).

8. Contact

Questions: through the person who invited you, or the contact given on koezu.com.
